Old cinema...

Finally something fairly interesting to post! A few weeks back it was Open House weekend (where usually shut buildings/spaces are open to the public for tours/viewing). Did not manage to get tickets to go to the BT Tower (poo!) but did go to a North London event. Gaumont Palace, now the Dominion Church in Wood Green. And wow! it is big! Beautiful art deco that has been restored by the now church owners.

I think my love for art deco comes from seeing it at the Empire State Building and the Daily News building in NYC, the latter of which can be seen in Superman: The Movie as the Daily Planet lobby. Great to find more closer to home :)

Next up... old tube station!
