^ More blu-rays that arrived today :D

First off - I just read that David Tennant and rest of RSC cast are to perform Hamlet for film. Fantastic news for all those fans who signed a petition for exactly that - let's hope it gets a release on DVD.

Onto TV, Being Human - superb episode to end a great series. This is my favourite new show in ages. So I am glad it has been given a second series. Hurry up already :D And er - god how many doctors this season are carrying some horrible dark trauma's around with them :( That's all I can say without typing a spoiler. The emergency eye surgery is the grossest thing I've seen on er in a long time. I couldn't watch it :-/

EPIC CLIFFHANGER! - in tonight's Being Human. Can't believe it's the last episode next week. Nooo I want more!

Also, er on Thursday - the 'return' of Dr Greene - loved how they did with the link to Banfield. It was a pretty tough episode to watch but hey nothing new there and it beats most medical dramas hands down dealing with painful subjects. This one was no exception. Oh, and Romano - oh how I cheered at his mini-return - he's only on screen for a minute and managed to insult *grin*.

I see Heroes is back on BBC2 tomorrow. Can't decide if I should try to get back into it or not? Hiro and Sylar *are* great. We shall see...

I didn't have time yesterday to post my photo a day so I cheated and back dated by photo to yesterday - if you missed it here it is. The reason? Spent most of the day in Beaconsfield for a Hot Fuzz theme meet up with missy_manic, Rach, Lorraine, redderz and fearcat. We went to the pub where the interior shots were filmed and to a model village. Not a filming location but appropriate if only for the line Want to be a big cop in a small town? F*ck off down the model village! and Angel's fight with Skinner in one It's not your village anymore!. You can see some photos from redderz already over at sandfordpolice in this post.

Apologies to anyone who might be reading this but has never seen the movie. The above will not make any sense!

Today was spent recovering. To say I over ate at the pub meal is an understatement and I've accomplished nothing today. My room is a mess, and I've tons of laundry to do. I'll post photos when I've time to upload them. I did watch Being Human tonight. Is it me or is the show getting darker and darker?

^ technically a screen grab but *thank you* BBC for starting to include subtitles on programmes on BBC iplayer - it means I don't lose out if I miss the original broadcast. I caught up with ep 3 of Being Human today. It is awesome and I love all 3 episodes to date.

Being Human was good again this week. It may earn itself and LJ tag this rate. Who writes it? Full marks for writing something creative that doesn't feel stale or as if its trying to hard. As for other TV, er was ok on Thursday, yay for Ray being mentioned - at last! Also, Morris - the woman asked you out - go for it! The new chief of staff is getting a nice character development. I also watched two episodes of Big Train on DVD. Why are sketch shows out of fashion at the moment? No Catherine Tate at the moment, and I guess Little Britain has been the most popular recently but I can't think of one that's actually airing at the moment? I was sad to read that one of the creators of Goodness Gracious Me passed away - that was a superb sketch show that made me a fan of Sanjeev Bhaskar.

So on a last minute whim as a suggestion by missy_manic we sat and watched the first episode of Being Human. The first episode was very promising, I love the humour in it and Russell Tovey is especially funny in this :) Sci Fi + Comedy fans - worth checking out if you missed it. I liked it enough to want to tune in next week :)

er last thursday - Abby left - but I can't help but think she'll be back before the last ep? Could be wrong, but it didn't seem like a final goodbye. And I know how Morris feels - I never pick up on such things *doh* Pooey to More 4 for not making trailers any more for the next episode - I suspect they will when it comes to the episodes with returning cast members.
